Claire Taylor, founder of Agvocacy Consulting, is a skilled media professional with over ten years of experience in TV, radio, print, and public relations.
She graduated from Edinburgh University with a degree in Politics and International Relations and began her career at the BBC, where she produced prime-time TV debates.
With a strong background in farming and a passion for elevating rural issues and communities, Claire went on to become Political Affairs Editor at the Scottish Farmer Newspaper.
Today, she is a regular columnist for national newspapers and online platforms, as well as a commentator on agricultural and rural issues across TV and radio. Additionally, Claire is an international speaker and a sought-after conference MC, bringing extensive experience in facilitating major industry conferences around the world.

Communications and Media Training
Claire's extensive knowledge and experience working in both mainstream and agricultural media have been instrumental in delivering impactful media and communications training to clients across the agriculture, tourism, and hospitality industries.
She has worked with individuals in one-on-one sessions, as well as small and larger groups, focusing on developing their communications skills, advocacy techniques and building their confidence in working with members of the media.
In addition to individual training, Claire has collaborated with businesses to refine their storytelling abilities and has helped devise strategies for engaging diverse audiences and working more effectively with a range of stakeholders.
